Bleeding
| Phenomenon | Discoloration in the topcoat. |
|---|---|
| Cause | A. Soluble dyes or pigments of undercoat are dissolved by the solvent of topcoat and rise to topcoat. (red or yellow) B. Tar on the body rise to topcoat. |
| Repair | Remove the previous paint film or cover with acrylic primer-surfacer(PS-220) and refinish. |
| Prevention | Use the primer-surfacer(PS-220, PS-330, PS-550) before applying the new coating. |
