Putty Mark / Staining Bleed Through (Discoloration)
| Phenomenon | Discoloration of the topcoat on the area repaired with polyester putty. |

| Cause | A. Polyester putty are not soluble in topcoat solvent and it makes boundary with the topcoat film. B. Putty is more contractive than other paint film. |
| Repair | Remove the damaged part or sand to putty layer and cover with urethane primer-surfacer(PS-330, PS-550) and refinish. |
| Prevention | A. Do not apply lacquer putty too thick. B. Do not apply polyester putty on the lacquer type paint film. C. Apply primer-surfacer on putty before applying topcoat. |
