Orange Peel
| Phenomenon | Dried film has surface like orange peel. |
|---|---|
| Cause | A. Too high air pressure or air blowing with spray gun before the film cured. B. Adding not enough thinner to basecoat. C. Too high application temperature. D. Improper setting of spray gun. E. Too thin film thickness. |
| Repair | Dry the film completely, polish with compound and refinish. |
| Prevention | A. Use smooth sandpaper. B. Cover the previous paint film with primer-surfacer and apply topcoat. (PS-330, PS-550) C. Do not use too slow type thinner. |
